As many as 19 college students on the Adarsh Nursing School scholar hostel in Bengaluru have been admitted to the hospital on the night of August 18 after they developed respiration issues after the hostel administration sprayed rodent repellent to drive away rats, officers stated on Monday.
“A complete of 19 college students developed respiration issues because of the presence of poisonous substances and so they have been instantly rushed to close by hospitals together with different college students within the hostel, hostel workers and most of the people,” West Bengaluru Deputy Superintendent of Police stated. .
In line with the deputy commissioner of police in West Bengaluru, three of the 19 college students have been in severe situation and have been shifted to the intensive care unit.
Bengaluru West DCP stated, “Virtually all the scholars have been admitted to the hospital and are in good well being. Three of them, named Jayan Varghese, Dileesh and Jo Mon, are in severe situation and are present process therapy within the intensive care unit.”
He added {that a} case could be filed beneath BNS Part 286 in opposition to the hostel administration who sprayed rat poison.
