Amarnath Yatra trains on the Baltal route have been suspended following heavy rain on Sunday, officers stated.
At this level, pilgrims paused on each routes. The Pahalgam route was closed on Wednesday attributable to upkeep work.
Kashmir district commissioner VK Bhiduri stated heavy rains lashed the Pahalgam and Baltal routes of the Amarnath Yatra on Sunday.
“Attributable to heavy rain, the Baltal axis of the Amarnath temple requires pressing restore and upkeep work. For the protection of the yatri, departures from the Baltal route won’t be allowed tomorrow both.
He added that additional updates can be launched sooner or later.
Up to now this 12 months, greater than 510,000 pilgrims have paid homage to Lord Shiva at this 3,880-meter-high cave shrine.
Amarnath Yatra began on June 29 and can finish on August 19.
