Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday filed a writ petition within the Excessive Courtroom difficult Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot’s sanction for investigating alleged irregularities in allotment of other land by the Mysuru City Improvement Authority (MUDA).
In his petition, Siddaramaiah argued that the sanction order was issued with out due consideration and violated statutory necessities and constitutional rules, together with the suggestions of the Council of Ministers, that are binding below Article 163 of the Structure of India.
“The choice of His Excellency the Governor is legally unsustainable, procedurally flawed and motivated by extraneous concerns and subsequently the petitioner prefers this writ petition in search of quashing of the impugned order dated August 16, 2024 and others. Reduction,” Siddaramaiah mentioned.
The Karnataka Chief Minister has challenged the August 16 order granting prior approval and sanction below Part 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and Part 218 of the Indian Act, 2023.
Karnataka Governor Thaaarchand Gehlot on Saturday accepted prosecution of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in reference to the MUDA website allocation scandal.
The Governor accepted the prosecution following complaints from three non-public people.
The allegations within the MUDA case relate to claims of compensation land being allotted to Siddaramaiah’s spouse Parvathi in a high-value space of Mysore.
