A police officer in Kannur, Kerala, has been suspended for attempting to homicide a petroleum pump attendant after being requested to pay the total quantity, police officers stated on Tuesday.

The incident befell at 3:30 pm on Sunday when Okay Santosh Kumar refused to pay in full after filling petrol in his automobile.
When Anil tried to cease Santosh Kumar from leaving, the police ignited the automobile’s engine and drove ahead, inflicting Anil to fall on the bonnet. Santosh Kumar then drove the automobile carrying Anil for a couple of kilometer on the busy nationwide freeway.
The incident was caught on digicam and after it went viral, ASI Santosh Kumar was booked for try and homicide.
Anil’s palms had been injured and he reported the incident to the city police station.
Kannur metropolis police chief Ajit Kumar confirmed that the officer has been suspended. “The accused has been arrested and suspended,” he stated.
