Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday visited the Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala to mark the primary of the annual Brahmotsavams pageant sky.
Naidu, accompanied by his spouse, provided “pattuvastrams” (silk robes) to the deity on behalf of the state authorities. The couple put the silk garments on the gold plate on their heads and entered the temple by the principle entrance.
After the puja, the chief priest of the temple tied the Parivattam (holy thread) on Naidu, whereas Naidu wore the normal Thirunaamam on his brow. TTD CEO Shyamala Rao and Further CEO Venkaiah Chowdary awarded the Sesha Vastram (holy material) of Sri Vari to Naidu.
