India’s Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday arrested Ashish Pandey, a Trinamool Congress (TMC) youth chief, in reference to an alleged affair with former RG Kar Medical School principal Sandeep Ghosh, officers stated. Sandip Ghosh in reference to the corruption case.
Pandey, who is alleged to be near Ghosh, was beneath the scanner of investigative companies and was questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on September 30, they stated.
Ghosh was arrested on September 2 in a corruption case.
Following instructions of the Calcutta Excessive Court docket, the CBI registered an FIR in opposition to Ghosh and three Kolkata-based non-public entities, together with Ma Tara Merchants of Madhya Jhorehat, Banipur, Howrah; 4/1, Belgachia and Eshan of Khama Louha Cafe.
In the course of the operation, the premises of all these entities named within the FIR had been searched.
The company has filed an FIR in opposition to Ghosh and personal entities beneath sections 120 B (prison conspiracy), 420 (dishonest) and the Prevention of Corruption Act of the Indian Penal Code.
