LOS ANGELES — Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman left Sunday’s Nationwide League Division Sequence in opposition to the San Diego Padres after 5 innings with proper ankle discomfort.
Though Freeman sprained his ankle in opposition to the Padres on September 26, he began the primary two video games of the sequence. He didn’t seem in any of the Dodgers’ ultimate three regular-season video games.
The veteran left-handed hitter went 2-for-5 in Sport 1 of the sequence on Saturday and 0-for-2 in Sport 2 on Sunday. Los Angeles moved third baseman Max Muncy to first base to begin the sixth inning, and Enrique Hernandez took over within the third.
Freeman, 35, is batting .282 with 22 house runs and 89 RBIs in 147 video games this season. In 15 profession seasons, the 2020 NL MVP is a .300 hitter with 343 runs in 2,032 video games with the Atlanta Braves (2010-21) and Dodgers (2022-24) house runs and 1,232 RBI.
