
Seven individuals have been killed when a ferry terminal collapsed on Sapelo Island, Georgia, on Saturday.
At the very least 20 individuals have been reportedly on the pier when it collapsed, and a crowd had gathered to rejoice the Gullah-Geechee group, which is made up of descendants of black slaves.
A number of individuals have been taken to close by hospitals. Their standing is unclear.
Sapelo Island is positioned roughly 60 miles south of Savannah.
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp prayed for the victims.
