President Drupadi Murmu on Thursday expressed condolences to the household of businessman Ratan Tata.
Mr. Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, died on Wednesday evening at Breach Sweet Hospital in Mumbai.

Born in Bombay on December 28, 1937, Mr. Tata served as chairman of the Ratan Tata Belief and the Dorabji Tata Belief, two trusts is India’s largest personal sector pushed charitable belief. From 1991 to his retirement in 2012, he served as Chairman of Tata Sons, the holding firm of the Tata Group.
In 2008, he obtained the nation’s second highest civilian award – Padma Vibhushan.
