Tabassum Rao, spouse of Karnataka Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, on Friday addressed state ladies fee chairperson Nagalakshmi Chowdhury Nagalakshmi Choudhary complained in opposition to the Bharatiya Janata Get together over “derogatory” posts in opposition to her on social media.
The tweet, posted on the Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Get together’s X account, was in response to current remarks made by Tabasum’s husband, who claimed: Hindu thinker Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was not a vegetarian and solely ate beef.
The tweet addressed Tabassum’s religion, saying whether or not she was from the Muslim neighborhood and whether or not it affected her husband.
In a tweet, Tabasum named the state models of the BJP and even tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“BJP’s cowardice is uncovered. They cannot face my husband so that they drag me into their petty debates. Shameful, the members of the family they’re concentrating on usually are not even in politics. When will they study to concentrate on actual points Resorting to low cost ways? she tweeted.
She mentioned in one other tweet: “I complained to the Karnataka Ladies Fee in opposition to the BJP and although they don’t seem to be actively concerned in politics, they hold making derogatory and collective remarks in opposition to me. Attacking ladies is a petty matter. Ladies Must be handled with respect, not abuse.
Congress chief and state well being minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Thursday mentioned Savarkar was not in opposition to cow slaughter, sparking controversy.
“Savarkar, a ‘Chitpavan Brahmin’, used to eat meat. He was not vegetarian and was not in opposition to cow slaughter. He was trendy in a approach. Some say he used to eat beef too. As a Brahmin, he used to eat meat, and overtly promotes consuming meat, so he has this concept,” the minister mentioned.
Though his remarks have been criticized, Rao didn’t withdraw his assertion.
“Sorry for telling the reality,” Rao mentioned in a tweet.
